Stephen D. Williams LPC, MEd, NCC, EMDRII

Director of Men's Programming

Stephen has been a counselor and therapist for over 7 years having begun his career in the field of addictions after his own recovery for chemical dependency which began in 2000.

Prior to coming to ILC, Stephen held the position of Spiritual Director and Primary Therapist at Magnolia Creek Residential Treatment Center for Eating Disorders in Chelsea AL. The previous 6 years Stephen gained direct experience while working with dual diagnosis and chemically dependent clients as counselor and Primary Therapist at Bradford Health Services in Warrior, Alabama.

At Bradford Health Services Extended Care Facility he developed and implemented men's programming for trauma, grief and relapse. As the Grief Group Therapist for the facility, Stephen developed a treatment modality for resolution of grief, trauma, and family of origin issues using a blend of psychodrama and experiential techniques.

Stephen has dedicated his life to the healing arts and uses his professional, spiritual, and personal experience along with a variety of therapeutic techniques such as EMDR, Gestalt, Sociometry, creative visualization and mediation to help clients find peace and create new opportunities for growth and happiness. This dedication and experience in helping clients heal inner wounds and realize a more complete sense of self is his unique contribution to the Integrative Life Center team.

Lora Blazina, MA

Therapist

Lora Blazina has a master's in counseling with an emphasis in somatic psychology from John F. Kennedy University in California. This specialization focuses on body awareness and regulation for healing from trauma and abuse. Lora is also a certified Forrest yoga instructor with training and experience leading yoga for trauma survivors.

After years of participating in sweat lodge ceremonies, Lora is excited to be pouring sweats for the folks at ILC. Lora is a Primary Counselor and one of the groups she facilitates is a Women's Spirituality group on Monday nights to facilitate women in regaining their sense inherent value and creating healing relationships between women. Lora believes in the sacred integrity of all people.







Christie Fultz M.Ed, EMDR

Eating Disorder Therapist

Christie Fultz holds a MA in Community Counseling from DePaul University and Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology. Christie has received extensive post masters training in both Experiential and Psychodrama Therapies which allows a situation to be seen from a variety of perspectives and helps shift awareness.

Additionally, She has had specific trainings in addiction and eating disorder recovery, working with dual diagnosis and trauma. Her therapeutic focus includes helping clients find their voice to advocate for themselves, forming healthy boundaries in relationships and uncovering harmful core beliefs and behavioral patterns. She consistently intertwines spirituality, along with other mindful practices as a significant support for people.

Christie is a native Montanan and enjoys getting back to the big sky country and traveling other countries as often as possible. She believes that therapy is a highly intimate and deeply personal process into the innate truth and essence of another and must be approached with safety, caring, empathy, compassion and deep respect.



Christi Raffield, Licensed Professional Counselor

DBT Skills Group Facilitator

Christi Raffield graduated from Richmont Graduate University with a Masters of Professional Counseling and a Specialization in Addictions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Georgia.

Christi offers psychotherapy services to individuals presenting with issues related to depression, anxiety, eating disorders, grief, and life transitions. Specializing in treating individuals with eating disorders, she assists clients in managing stress and building self-esteem. She works with individuals to improve communication and teach skills for resolving conflict. Christi utilizes a psychodynamic approach in identifying underlying issues. Her therapeutic approach to healing incorporates DBT mindfulness skills, art therapy, and experiential exercises.

Prior to working at Integrative Life Center, Christi worked at Manna Treatment and Counseling Treatment Center in Atlanta, Georgia as a Primary Therapist specializing in eating disorders. She worked at SummitRidge Psychiatric Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia as a case manager. Finally Christi has worked at Youth Villages as an in-home counselor.

Christi values the overall well-being and wholeness of her clients. She welcomes clients from all backgrounds including age, ethnicity/cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, gender, socio-economic status and education.

Nan Allison, MS, RD, LDN

Dietitian/Nutritionist

Nan is a licensed dietitian/nutritionist, co-author of "Full and Fulfilled: the Science of Eating to Your Soul's Satisfaction," and owner since 1987 of Allison Nutrition Consulting. She serves as Consulting Dietitian for the Integrative Life Center, Nashville.

Her ongoing interest is in why individuals and cultures choose to eat the way they do and how to facilitate change at the individual, corporate and community levels. She helps clients who want help with a variety of nutrition related issues: chronic dieting, eating disorders, addictions, sports performance, diabetes, pediatrics, and corporate wellness --always from the perspective that eating well and healing (both individual and corporate) is a process rooted in guided self- exploration and discovery.

Nan served as the government relations director for the Tennessee Dietetic Association and remains involved in nutrition and public policy concerns, particularly around food and mental health issues.

She is a founding member of the Nutrition Professionals Alliance which provides educational services to the community and to health professionals.

She has a B.S. in nutrition from the University of Tennessee, a M.S. in nutrition from Tufts University and she completed her dietetic internship at Tufts New England Medical Center. She is Level 1 and Level 2 certified in Adult Weight Management by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She also has 7 years of training in Kabbalistic Healing and in Energy Healing from the School of Integrative Medicine at the Estuary, Nashville.

She was the Tennessee Dietetic Association's 1990 Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year and in 2002, Dietitian of the Year.

Mary Faulkner, M.A. Religious Education

Mary Faulkner, M.A. Religious Education, is a pioneer in the field of mind body healing as a teacher and in private practice for the last twenty-five years. She is a psychotherapist and former Director of Women's Services for Cumberland Heights in Nashville. Currently she is the Director of Women's Programming at Integrative Life Center and assists clients in healing the inner child and resolving family of origin issues.

Faulkner has published several books in the field of religion and spirituality including two for Hazelden: Easy Does It Dating Guide for Recovering People and the Easy Does It Relationship Guide for Recovering Couples.

She is a former speaker with Hazelden's Women's Healing Conferences. Her most recent book, Women's Spirituality: Power and Grace will be published in August 2011. Faulkner will offer professional training for Certification in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Trauma Treatment at Integrative Life Center beginning in spring 2011 and continuing in the fall.


Dede Beasley, M.Ed. , LPC

Equine Therapist

Dede is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Horseback Riding Instructor through the Council for Horsemanship & Safety. She is among the first practitioners to be certified by the North American Handicapped Riders Association as an equine assisted psychotherapist.

Dede has extensive experience with 20 years in private practice, in group, individual and couples counseling and she uses equine therapy on her farm in Ashland City, Tennessee. "Animals in childhood and recovery in adulthood are my two saving graces. I am blessed to have the opportunity to share both of my passions with others."

Dave Smith

Buddhist Meditation Teacher, Addiction Treatment Specialist

Dave was trained to teach meditation by Noah Levine; founder of Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society.

As a long time Buddhist practitioner and recovering addict, he has been working closely with recovering addicts for the last five years.

Dave has extensive experience bringing meditative interventions into jails, prisons, youth detention and addiction treatment facilities.

He is the guiding teacher and program director of the Against the Stream Nashville Meditation Center.

Dave teaches over 250 meditation classes and workshops each year.
