Sober Leisure and Recreation

One of the greatest challenges to a successful recovery seems like it should be the easiest--leisure and recreation. Yet learning to relax and enjoy life again is surprisingly daunting.

Integrative Life Center offers opportunities designed to facilitate the re-entry process. We visit local places of interest-art museums, the zoo, attend community events, go to clubs and listen to music and more.

We float down the river in kayaks, have picnics in the park and reconnect to that favorite childhood occupation of cloud watching.

We do this as a group with the guidance of a counselor who helps participants identify triggers and realize they can have fun and still remain clean and sober.
